SANCTITY Lands New Singer

August 19, 2008

North Carolina thrashers SANCTITY — who recently parted ways with Jared MacEachern (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Derek Anderson (bass) "for personal reasons" — have issued the following update:

"We will hopefully be announcing our new singer soon. I cant give you a name or hints yet, but we have not been [so] happy in a long time. He is a sick-ass singer as well as a person. We are going into Audiohammer studios [in Sanford, Florida] in September to record some new shit, and as soon as we have it so will you."

SANCTITY guitarist Zach Jordan recently told BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "Our new stuff is more brutal — still fun to listen to like the first album, but more of a CHILDREN OF BODOM-meets-PANTERA's-'Vulgar Display of Power'. Wierd mix, I know, but we want to incorporate every band member's personality into the music. So we're trying to find a singer that will bring his own thing, and make us a band that kids want to watch live — not boring like the other 98% of bands that are touring currently."

SANCTITY is currently unsigned after recently losing its deal with Roadrunner Records.

The band's video for the song "Beloved Killer" (see below) was shot in Asheville, NC with director Ramon Boutviseth. The track comes off the "Road to Bloodshed" CD, which came out in April 2007.
